I had a wonderful day down near Kidderminster with the wonderful photographer David Purslow from David Purslow photography.

We got together for a newborn session so i could give him some insights into what goes into this kind of session and the posing including the 'frog pose' and the hanging cocoon.
You can view pull back shots and a bit of behind the magic on my blog

Question regarding the blanket in that first photo, I see that in the pull back shot it's not as smooth as your final image from behind baby. How do you get it so nice and smooth? I have tried this and it takes me forever!

I just paint over it with a select colour from the blanket with a low opacity soft brush

Mind if I ask whether those hats are yours or the mother's? If yours, where did you get them from? They are AWESOME!

check ETSY.com

getting the hats and cocoons is the easy part, hunting down the baskets and tree stubs and buckets is whats killing me, please pm me with some insight as to where to get those

good set, love the first one.
