lighting was 2 lights

1 AB1600 @ 1/2 power with beauty dish gridded for spot light effect
1 AB1600 @ 1/2 power with yellow gel for rear lighting

triggered by the Consistent firing Cactus V5's

I like the yellow gelling Pham.

I think it gives a more natural tone than the orange gel, (although I do like that as well).

Possibly the yellow works better with more lighter toned white skin...

Got the lens today, and I couldn't believe the difference to the 50L regarding the size and weight.

Took a quick snap and focusing is quite slow but understandable.

Maybe it's just me, but the whites look badly blown-out, and the guys at the back are way soft, which seems strange for this sort of shot.

Now with added bokeh. (Good lenses are irrelevant, apparently. Just add bokeh and textures in post. It's the in thing.)

Pham you did a good job trying to save this shot, i ran your exif through the DOF calculator there isn't much room to play with so that's why your back guys are soft

if you don't have this app, it's free and i find it invaluable to reference for things like this
