The card has some varying reviews (like any cheap card, I guess) but it is one hell of a deal. I already ordered one, I'll let you guys know how it is when it shows up.

A lot of reviews are suggesting that this card is really slow...:(

I have the 8GB version and it is primarily what i use. I works fine for vacations and what nots. Definitely a good amount of space and its speed isn't the bad until you connect it to the computer and wait for it to empty but what is 2-3 mins? Take a pee break, grab a coffee and a hand of nuts and then come back. for 16GB i would think it would be the best Vacation/Everyday use card without having to fuss with so many other cards.

that being said, i have a Sandisk III 2gb card that i use when i need more speed and it does great.

Just my .02

If your using a 50D it probably wont be worth the cost of a super fast card.

The thing about most of these memory cards is, they either fail immediately or they live forever (almost). So if you are buying from a good retailer, you can try it out extensively for a week or two and see if it is OK. If it fails, you can send it back immediately. This doesn't mean they just dont fail after a month, but if it doesn't in the first month of good use chances are much less. I wouldn't worry about buying a Kingston from a good retailer. In fact, I have had one (4GB version) for a while now.

Buy what is on sale. 133x is plenty if you don't shoot bursts of 15+ shots or are using it for video.

I bought one at Fry's a few months back cause it was on sale super cheap. I went home fired it on burst and I swear it took like 2 minutes to clear the buffer. I got like 17 raw shots. So I took it back and got an Adata 566x another cheaper brand card and couldn't be happier. I get 22 raw's with no hesitation and clears in about 30 seconds.

I have a couple of those in my bag for emergency use only. They are too slow for the 1DMKIII and the 7D. At least for me they are too slow. I use Transcend 400x 16 and 32gb cards...and USB 3 card readers.
