hah 7D ftmfw!

This is a really cool idea, even though it doesn't actually accomplish much. I love seeing just random information like this.

Someone should send this poll to Canon in a few weeks!

7D - XTi - Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 - Canon 50mm f/1.8II - SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 - Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L - Lensbaby 2.0 - Canon 430EX-II - CBS flash trigger

Even with all the wailing and gnashing of teeth when it came out, apparently the Canon marketing department knew what they were doing! I'm not all that surprised at the sales though, it's at a more "affordable" price point than a 7D or 5DII.

I'm sure the 1Ds Mark III crew will chime in soon? Maybe not, lol.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Go 60 go or is that a speed limit :-)

It seems Canon knew what they were doing :-)

When I responded to this poll, my new (yesterday) 60D was in a tie with the 7D. But now the 7D has surged ahead. So I urge the forum members to rush out and get 60D's so that we can catch up.

I reckon Canon just realized there was a market gap, and filled it with the 60D. Maybe they'll discover another gap, namely, for a low-cost Rebel-like FF body. Lots more people would like to try FF if only there was an affordabe model.

For all the complaining about the 7d around here, it's in the lead. Perhaps we just hear more from the complainers.

This is true of most things....the people that are happy with the product are out USING it :D

This...

Plus POTN is generally populated by early adopting types and the photographically curious which (IMO) accounts for the 60Ds showing here.

I graduated from xTi to 60D. So far I am loving this camera. Thanks to Canon for making xxD line affordable.

There are more 60D users than owners of all 1 series combined-experience level perhaps?

I'm sure it's due to cost, anyone can use a 1D camera. Not everyone wants to drop 5k or more on a body.

Agreed, now I wonder which will make it to 100 first - I'm going to say the 7D.

Oh, and this poll was Rocky Rhode's idea, all credit to him.

3/4 of the way there, with a sizable lead... stick your neck out much?
