Abe's is very reliable! I ordered one 2 weeks ago during their anniversary sale for $424.
In fact, all my sigma lenses (brand new) came from Abe's. My copy was very-very soft in the center, so I shipped it back. Spoke with a rep, and he said that they're expecting a new shipment on Tuesday. Their return policy is also great. He was willing to exchange mine for another one with no questions asked.

When I ordered mine, I was told twice that a big shipment of lenses was due in that day or the next. But as far as I can tell the 50mm 1.4 has been on back order ever since that last sale.

It is a good price for the Sigma if you aren't in a hurry to get it.

I ordered a Sigma 30mm from Abes and no problems at all. Will buy from them again when I need another lens.

My order from Abe from the last time hasn't shipped yet. Although they promptly charged my card the full amount they are yet to ship it out even after their customary call back which I promptly did.

I got my Sigmalux from Abe's last year. This is a great deal, too bad it is backordered.
