Yeah, when I was in high school I had a MGA and then a MGB. Always wanted an old TD or TF, but never made it happen. So for sure, I have a soft spot in my heart for all these old MG's.

I love seeing them at the shows, and it's always fun to talk to the owners. Lots of smiles all the way around.

Would you be so kind to let me have the TF shot as a background?
They were never the same after plastic, 1977, for California market.

One more from the car show yesterday out of the 1D2. This and the other two ( fins ) were shot with the 24-70.
However, most of the shots for the day were shot with the old 1DS full frame with the 200 f/2. If anybody wants to look, the whole set is here:

Hmmm. Ok, thanks. It seems to be loading okay here even after flushing the cache, so I'm not sure what's up. Later I'll try re-loading the frameset up to the server.

Selling my 1Dmkii to pick up a slightly used 1D3..:-)

dtufino, let us know how you like the 1D MK III. I have the fever for one myself but whenever I get the urge, I look at George's photos and put the money back into my pocket. Good luck with your purchase.

David,
....you look good on sequins ! Ha ! Ha ! ....joke ! I like the second shot of your wife the best because the rim lighting is not quite so hot. On some of the other shots, the rim light is blowing the highlights a bit too much for my taste. I'll be curious to see what all you come up with re the sequin bg.

Hi
I am a travel and recently a motor racing photographer. I have just been appointed a school's official photorapher and have to shoot a prizegiving (Headmaster giving prize/scroll to student) using my 1D2 and 70-200 (at around 100mm) in a fixed position (from a balcony) on a tripod. It is in a hall with a mixture of real and flourescent lights.

Up to what ISO can I use for noise free pictures. Around what shutterspeed for blur free pictures.

Any other advice greatly appreciated

a good exposure is key. I'd say its good up to ISO400 if you want them noise free.
ISO1600 is still pretty decent but you need to have a good exposure.
