vitacura - I had a really hard time deciding on whether or not to buy this lens. Like you (and everyone else), I wanted a 'one size fits all' lens. And we all know that such a lens cannot be perfect, hence the tough decision. While this lens is not on par with a prime (does that even need to be said?), I believe it is the best of its kind. Be aware, though, that this lens takes practice to get the most out of it. And shooting it wide open? You'd better use some really good technique. Many of the crisp shots you see in this thread are at an f-stop of 7.1 or greater. Add to that a bit of Lightroom work on all my photos. Not trying to scare you away, just want to make sure you're making your decision with your eyes wide open. (Maybe first renting this lens might not be a bad idea). Anywho, that's my 2 cents.
