Ok, finally caught up on this thread after 10 days of vacation with limited internet access. Pics are going up in the 60D Pictures thread as I get through them.

Question for you guys - is anyone else seeing dust INSIDE the LCD screen? I noticed once I got into actual sunshine (we don't really have that here in Seattle) that no matter how clean my LCD is, there are still specks on it that appear to be in it. While it's not the end of the world, I guess it means my 60D will be going back to Canon before the warranty is up in September, along with the 24-105 which is misbehaving.

I've never seen dust there. Nor can I see any way dust can get in to the LCD area.

Are you seeing light or dark spots? Could it be dead or hot (stuck) pixels in the LCD itself? With over 1 million pixels, I guess Canon has some maximum number of dead pixels that is still acceptable... Or, could it be a scratch or pit on the surface (can you feel the specks)?

I had a few specks of dust and what looked like a hair. I used a can of compressed air and cleaned my sensor. I know you aren't supposed to use compressed air, but I've been using it for years with no repercussions.

Knock on wood.
