Get a professional cleaner in ASAP, otherwise you'll end up having to buy a new one.

Which excess?
The stuff that made it through the couch into the carpet, or the one the insurance company will take.....

Thankfully, the nice old bungalow has polished floors (useful for cleaning up all manner of spillage) and the couch, although leather, isn't going to give up the stuff that is inside it very easily. Will see if the insurance folks have anything useful to say about it.

This is the 21st century. Are't you supposed to sue the school or something? :D

I'm quite glad we're onto a new page here, gkuenning's eye was starting to freak me out.

Canon EOS
Eos is the Titanic goddess of the dawn, who rose from her home at the edge of Oceanus, the Ocean that surrounds the world, to herald her brother Helios, the sun.

Hey, I resemble that! Anyway, if you set your preferences to 50 posts per page my incredibly alluring eye is still there to enjoy. ;-)a

Sad thing #1 is that the eye picture seems to represent the death of my trusty old G3. It still takes photos, but all the control buttons have quit (except, conveniently, the shutter release and power button).

Sad thing #2: I move back to California on Friday. Does that mean I'll no longer be allowed to read this thread? :-(

Geoff
All I want is a 10-2000 f/0.5L with no distortion that weighs 100 grams, fits in my pocket, and costs $300. Is that too much to ask?

Yeah, but you're a Kiwi by birth, right? I'm just a temporary imposter. ;-)a

Kind of. Technically, I am Kiwi, American and UK by birth all at once (and can have passports of all three if I want to pay for them - currently only have US + NZ). Was born in Bermuda (UK Citizenship), to a US Father, and NZ mother. So I can live and work in most western countries without visas...

I consider myself a NZer, and citizen of the others when it suits my purpose. I lived in NZ from age two, till moving to the US for a year in 05, and then from 09 onwards.

Daniel
