Jesus did you throw it down a hill or something? I hike alot and my gear never comes out looking like that. With that being said looking at the picture I find it hard to believe he's never used it.... It looks well used lol, but at that price it's a steal!

The hood is in pretty bad shape, but the rest of the body was new. We hiked through a very dusty area and the wind was pretty strong :p

Where'd did you go hiking? I do alot of hiking in Florida so it's not to bad since it's pretty flat land.

I wouldn't say this is too good to be true. I've owned the 24-105 3 or 4 times and NEVER paid more than $800 for it, even when I bought one new from a kit.

I'd buy as many NIB white box versions as I could at that price because I can sell them all day long at $900+! :D

When canon had 15% off refurb sale 10 days ago few grabbed 24-105L for $780. Mine is UY05 code.

yeah finally A happy ending ..congrats on the lens like to see it all dusty proof you are having fun with it and not just keeping it in the bag ..how about some pics of the dusty trail lets see what you shot..
