I guess I'm going to have to file this one under 'almost'. This could have been a shot that I really liked, but the dopey bird ducked its head down and now I had some pond weeds in the way.

#2 is just awesome.
I love how you can see the bird's feathers underwater in a few pictures.

I love them all, but I also don't mind the weeds in the last shot. Nature has weeds, doesn't it? I love a clean background as much as the next guy, but nature doesn't always cooperate. I was shooting along a drift line on the Delaware Bay today and there's nothing I could do because that's where the sun was shining and the birds were congregating. I shoot at 5.6 if I can to get a good blur. Otherwise, we'd all just be shooting in zoos and that's boring.
