Here's one of my padded inserts. My messenger bags are lined with loop velcro so I added hook velcro to the insert so that it stays put. I made it for a 5D2 with a 24-70 attached and a 10-22 in the left slot. There's also a pocket on the left and right [exterior] sides of the insert for pens, a map, whatever.

Wow. I literally ordered the bag at midnight of yesterday (22 hours ago) and the bag already arrived! I just looked at the return address, and Lake Balboa, CA is literally 20 minutes north of me.

And to think I almost got expedited shipping because I didn't want to wait until next week!

Got mine in as well, with the Tenba insert. It fits a bit tight with the grip on, and has a tight fit if I tried putting my Mac book pro in. Overall love this thing, and can't wait to break it in!

Is the insert tight in the bag, or the gripped body tight in the insert. Nice looking combo.

Body is tight on the insert. The tenba insert is smaller than the other one.

During a recent trip I left the rapdom black messenger bag on the airport floor after going through a security machine by the entrance. I had loaded my other luggage on a cart and headed to the counter not realizing I had left the bag on the floor.

It was at the counter that I realized that I left the bag. I rushed over as quick as I can. About the span of a minute I'd guess had passed and fortunately (and to my great relief), there it was on the middle of the floor with the other passengers milling about and finishing from the machine totally ignoring it.

Talk about invisible stealthy. Well actually, I was just lucky I guess no one picked it up or the other passengers believed it belonged to someone next to them. My camera gear wasn't in it but my laptop was. Whew! :)

I recently bought an ebay insert called "FOSSOUX LC Partition padded bag SLR DSLR camera insert"

http://cgi.ebay.com …ain_0&hash=item3efcbb2454 (external link)

Sold by cameramate2010.
I couldn't find much information about it online but it was the only insert that was the right size and had a padded cover with a velcro latch. I bought it and I am very happy so far. The insert is very well padded, the material is soft, and the stitching seems very solid. I haven't bought a messenger bag for it yet, but it fits nicely into the bottom of my north face surge. It also will fit into outer pocket of the eBags weekend convertable, which gives you fairly easy acess and allows you to carry around a lot of clothes, a laptop, etc for travel. I'm planning to travel for a week through China later this summer doing photography and brining just the weekend convertable, so I will post again with my impressions.

I looked at that bag before. Smaller then it looks, didn't like it's lay out, and more expensive then the bag and paddy listed on here.

Hey guys... Just a question tho...will this bag fit for example my 7d mounted to a 17-55, as well as a 10-22 and the 70-200 is 2.8 II? All hoods reversed of course. And maybe also a ipad 2 between the insert and the bag?

I'm also thinking of just using this bag as normal everday use, without the insert of course. If I want to put a MBP 13 inch into it, would it be possible to do so ina way that it doesn't flop over inside the bag? This is because most other messenger bags have a seperate laptop insert. I don't think this one has it...

You would probably be getting pretty tight with your laptop but I don't see why the ipad would be an issue.

I use my bag all the time personally but only for the camera gear, the bags are so cheaply priced that I purchased a second for use for general stuff but ended up giving it to my brother as I have no need for it at this time and found myself not using it, lol.

^^^ yeah I meant the laptop without my camera gear as I want to use this as a normal everyday bag when not travelling. So it will just hold my laptop, uni books, and some lunch. I just wanted to see if there was a way to secure the laptop to the back of the bag so it doens't flop over...I think I worded it wrong which led you to think that I wanted to put the laptop with the lens and my gear haha.

Btw, Im so confused with some of the above posts, about having the zipper and no zipper.

Currently I'm ordering it from this link, and I would like the one with the zipper. Am I doing it right if I just click the add the cart button?

http://www.amazon.com …1?ie=UTF8&m=AFTEBR3SEQ0US (external link)

And the insert:

THanks for all the help!

edit: I just realised that you are answering my questions on both threads. Thanks for all the help. Really appreciate it. Btw your links were really helpful. They were the first ones I clicked on. Now I just need to sort out the zipper/non zipper issue and I'll be set!

As long as you are ordering from gravity trading through amazon you are golden. And the link stars you are. Go for it, you'll love it.
