My wife is not going to be happy with you guys when she sees how much time I spend in this thread. I just picked up a 21 and there is this naughty little voice in the back of my head whispering at me to swap my 70-200 f4 IS + cash for this one...d@mn you Zeiss!

Looked at this thread...found myself in a state of awe and wonder...next thing I knew, I was pushing the "submit order" button on B&H. There should be some sort of disclosure warning that appears before people view this thread! Ugh!!

I am curious if people find this lens difficult to use or just use it for very specific situations. I ask this because I just ordered one and I am starting to notice that this thread can go a while without any posts. Does every one feel they get adequate use for the $$$?

I use it all the time. Every wedding or event I shoot. You do have to make sure your camera is calibrated correctly though. By far my favorite lens I own.

You also have to get good at manual focus again if you haven't done it lately. You have to think differently when you manual focus a lens.

How exactly do you make sure your camera is calibrated correctly? I have always wondered if my camera and lenses are shooting at 100%. Any links on this?

Another test. Maybe it's a little difficult to find out; it's a toad.
