Then what do they mean by giving a 3-year extended USA warranty? Just want to know.
If it's not worth it, or not likely to be valid, as you put it, one might as well spend 5 dollars more and buy from Abes of Maine!

@Hedonist77: To get the 3 year extended USA warranty, you must buy from an authorized Sigma dealer. Otherwise, you only get a 1 year international warranty from Sigma.

According to a rep at Sigma, Photo4less is an authorized dealer as long as you buy a USA item from them. You'll get the 1 yr + 3 yr extended warranty. HTH.

This is the best price I've seen, and it's on par with the USED prices in the forum.

downer ... they charge tax to New Jersey end up saving 2 bucks only.

For the NJ folks, If you go on ebay 47th St Photo has a Sigma 85mm auction that is "Best Offer." I offered $900 and it was accepted immediately. You might be able to go a few dollars more, not sure. They're an authorized dealer.

They are authorized retailer. I bought from them last year, and 2 weeks ago, I brought my lens in for focus adjustment. They accepted it.
