Arriving very soon: 5D Mark II, 24 - 105 and 70 -2000m F4 IS lenses. Great looking images and photos on the thread. Looking forward to to sharing and learning. Quite excited by the camera. Have a good 40D which I will keep for the cropped sensor. Take care.

Lorne

I take a lot of pictures. Once in a great while I also take a photograph.

my only issue is cutting down from 70-300, to 70-200. I'm afraid I'll miss the extra 100mm. If I add a TC 1.4x, It's still 280mm at 5.6, which is not even as long as my current and the same f/stop.

i will just slap it on my 50D :D

Wow...So I just received my camera today. It is brand new. I took only 4 photo's then it started giving me the Error 30 code. It has since then given me the Error 30 code. I am absolutely livid right now. I just read that it is a shutter failure? That doesn't make sense, the camera is brand new....

I would send it back and ask for a replacement. But that's just the perfectionist in me coming out. Even if I never got the error again it would still irritate me.;)

I agree. I would have them send you another one next day air as well. You shouldn't have to wait for another replacement. Sorry to hear you're having troubles with it. Good luck!

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

Wow... This is why i like buying from Amazon.com. I bought my first 50D from there. It had dust in the viewfinder. I called amazon, they overnighted me a replacement and told me once i got it, send the one i had back to them. The next day by 11am had my replacement camera.

You CANNOT go wrong with Amazon service. They even refunded me $30 for my troubles. Needless to say when i wanted a 5DII where did i get it? You guessed it.
