I know with Japan being hit the availability would be limited but man - now is NOT the right time to buy.

I bought my 85mm 1.2 II for like $1840 from BH. I bought my 16-35 II locally for like $1350 - $1400. Now, the 16-35 II is $1699 and the 85 II is $2100 - insane!

Yep, and gas was $1.00/gal 10 years ago. Life's a drag.

I was just referring a friend to some lens options and their price until I realized I was off by $300 because of change!

I'm in the lucky position of selling a perfectly good lens, an 85mm 1.8.

The local store does trade ins and offered $200 for it. I told them to stick a-

Consider the exchange rate. In 2007, 1 USD is 120 Yen, now only about 80 Yen. So a lens that cost $100 would be $150 today, if the price in Yen stays the same and straight conversion is applied.

Anyone want in on my new infomercial for "Cash for L's"?

I am also selling a line of red-ringed "grillz" for rappers. PM me for details.

We ain't seen nothing yet. Buy them now, they're as cheap as they're going to be for a long time.

when supplies stabilizes?

Agreed with this. Price will only keep going up from here. Those in the US are lucky as it is with the relatively low prices we pay for gear here.

Pricing is definitely going to go up. Value of USD will continue to drop as weakness in the US economy continues. The Fed's QE or other such programs is not helping either.
