Yongnuo flash optical slave?

I just want to confirm that the optical will will trigger the flash after the ettl preflash. I'm thinking of getting the YN-460II to use as background or hair light with ettl flashes.

Yes, it will ignore the preflash in S2 mode (there's M, S1, & S2).

ok I am using 1 Yongnuo flash as a slave flash now but wondering if I have 2 of them will both of them fire at the same time or not? do I need any wireless trigger for the 2nd one or not?

in thereo yes but they may lag slightly, the S2 mode ignores preflash and fires on the main flash, I would get a set of triggers to be sure, unless I was using them on a background maybe.

I have used two Sigma optical slave flashes with a manual flash master, and had no problems. Optical triggers operate at the speed of light. If you have two or ten, they will all fire at the same time.

I have never tried a flash with the S2 circuitry, but I bet it would be fine too.
