thanks Mark - quite possibly there's some real estate there - I did have a slight crop, I'll check, the 'orrible creosote fence has it's uses after all!

And as for Lizards I absolutely love them too, we were lucky enough to find one posing on a fallen tree for about half an hour, was a great experience... also saw a newly emerged Dragonfly there too - my first sighting of that so quite excited!

well thats the nicest creosoted fence bokeh ive ever seen, great colour, and I hope you got plenty of pics of the said lizard and DF...

one or two... I tend to get a little trigger happy when I see something cool - the DF was amazing, slap bang in the middle of a pond and a strange transparent custard colour, was drying out I guess and you could see the nymph exoskeleton underneath it - will post a pic later on with my newly reinstated broadband! :)

I seem to do the same lol, the DM that was on the lilly I think I took about 200ish of, you know just incase one didnt work out, anyway looking forward to seeing them, ive not seen many DF's this year, I will have to rectify that soon...

I think ive persuaded myself that I need an mp-e65, little brothers home in 10 days time for a visit and they are only 600 new in the us so im trying to get him to bring one back for me

I was really pleased to see as many DFs as I did on Sunday - once the sun warmed up about 9am it became alive with them - lots of the lovely black darters, hawkers, Emperors & BBCs...

sounds exciting - can't wait to see the pics from that! you'll need some lighting too they seem to be very light hungry!

the twin light thing is as expensive as the lens, well almost, I think will stick to my normal light and see how I go to start with...

they are silly money, I was thinking along the lines of a hotshoe bracket to get the flash nearer the business end of the lens... either way gonna be a really fun lens to play with!

here's some more small stuff..

These and the previous shots are fabulous Lee.

Definitely a Black Darter, but could be a female - if you had a sideways shot I might be able to tell.

We were over Thursley on Sunday afternoon - well that was a diversion stop off after trying to find Thundry Meadows and couldnt find the access lol. There wasnt much flying at all as it was breezy when we got there then clouded over for a while.

I did find a couple of DFs and DMs to photograph (but not enough) and plenty of lizards - I have some baby lizard pics but havent processed any of the lizard pics yet.

Pond work has started :) - saw a wonderful Southern Hawker there today, it perched right on the railings, only had my G12 but that would have sufficed. I told a woman not to move who was standing 2 feet away from it and she didnt, I just got up to it and some doughnut walked past and it flew off

thanks Linda, really pleased to hear the pond is being sorted - and with some DFs around I will get myself over there for some pics this week too!
