Before putting my 100mm f/2.0 on eBay, I searched current auctions to get an idea of what the lens is going for. That's how i stumbled on this ...

I'm not sure I've ever before seen a sale for a piece of photo equipment where every single picture is out of focus. Incompetence, or is the seller hiding something? And what's with putting a lens inside a water or wine glass to take a picture of it?

The good news is someone may get a real bargain on a 100mm f/2.0 - heck, I put in a bid just in case this goes 50% below retail.

Yep, looks like somehow who doesn't know how to use a camera. From the user's feedback, it doesn't seem like he's trying to hide anything.

He has plenty of feedback with high-end camera sales. I chalk this up to general incompetence. It's unlikely that he's a photographer--probably just selling stuff off for others.
