I don't have the serial numbers. I bought all of it used and may be able to get them from the previous owners. 5Dc - Sigmalux - Canon 100mm F2

This kind of gear doesn't exist much in my area of the world, so it'll be fairly obvious if it surfaces. problem if you don't have the serial numbers or receipts is how you gonna prove its yours... better get them ASAP.

Only have to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. In my community, finding a person with the obscure equipment that matches exactly what was taken from me would meet that burden. At least that's what I would argue to a judge. 5Dc - Sigmalux - Canon 100mm F2

I filed a police report hours ago. Thanks for your help. problem is it is highly unlikely that the theft would keep all those things, nor sell them as a kit..they will be sold probably by piece.... not sure about your side of the world, but without receipt and serial number any other lens of the same model would look exactly the same and therefore quite difficult to claim as yours without proof of purchase or serial numbers.

TeamSpeed 01010100 01010011 ![]() More info | Aug 01, 2011 09:13 | #13 That is a great idea about the owner info, I have forgotten about that in my own equipment. Even if it is a business, entering the business info and phone number may help in the cases of theft. You could also create an owners file on the CF or SD card with your info (no address, just first name and phone number maybe), so that if you ever lose your equipment, the finder may see that info and call. Long shot, but you should use every trick you have available. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery
