Looks sturdy enough to me. It's likely the stand would fall over before the flash would dislodge.

Another thing I like to use to secure my flash to something or a gel holder to my flash is one of those Livestrong type wristbands. They are the perfect size for my 580EX and are very strong....bonus is most of those types of bands profits go to charity and they come in all sorts of colors! ![]() Yeah, get some thicker rubber bands. The skinny ones seems like it won't hold. Or some velcro straps to wrap around and secure the flash. And put two... one at the bottom and one on the flash head. | Canon EOS Systems |

Aug 01, 2011 11:16 | #22 Well the good people here were correct. I almost dropped my flash so I added another mod. I purchased these from Flash Zebra. It will work in either horizontal or vertical orientation. Looks good with the cybersync after doing that mini jack mod. I purchased the mini jack adapters from the Zebra. Image Editing OK

Aug 01, 2011 18:35 | #24 I'm not sure. I wonder of the experts here would know if it is optimal to place it vertical for veritcal portraits, horizontal for horizontal or it makes no difference at all. Certainly easier to get at when manually adjusting output. Image Editing OK
