Will be in NYC during US Open, would like to rent a 200 mkII 2.8 to take pics while at the Open on Monday night. Looking for a good place to walk up and grab something. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I always stick with Calumet when traveling, but I'm sure the locals know some smaller city-places. Calumet is in the flatiron district, near madison square.

I'm afraid to step foot in Adorama, chances of buying a lens are increased... :)

I have rented from both Calumet (22 West 22nd Street) or Adorama on 18th Street. Both are great and you should have no problems.

check if they will let you bring in that lens at the Open, they have been getting picky with the lenses as of late.

The shop is on the ground floor; rentals on 5th or 6th of same building via a separate entrance.

I've copied all your kind comments to Vick, the ARC manager, so he can share them with his staff team.

Thanks so much for all the great feedback!
