Good timing but otherwise quite dull. 6.5/10

9/10 lovely photo. I don't like the mist in the lower frame but that's not your fault :) would happily have that canvased in my lounge.

This photo was taken two Xmas's ago in a lovely part of the Lake District, Ambleside.

I like the sharpness of the photo but don't think the black and white helps it. Also the blacks are a bit high. 8/10

Still working on my lighting

Detail looks good. Lighting doesn't look bad, but it does look a little uneven (i.e. "a little hot" as I've heard people comment o nthe right side). It also looks like the mounting plate is floating. Composition-wise it doesn't speak to me. Looks like you took a snapshot of your tripod- makes the subject a little boring to me. I don't quiet "get" the photo either, was it for an ad?

What I do like about i;, it feels to me like there's depth. It doesns't feel like it's 2 dimensional. Maybe it's some sort of illusion with the shadows and the black background, or my eyes are a little out of wack, i don't know but that I do like about it.

6/10....it's a picture of a tripod.

Here's my next one- taken at the same time as my last post for the same "absract" assignment. I drew the idea from watching a spanish dancer on TV and seeing her dress twirl as she danced. What do you think?

I like it in the abstract way you intended. Trying to decide if I like the focus point being just below the ferrule, or whether it would be better elsewhere. Was this taken in motion? Could more be included on the sides?
I like the mono conversion, but wonder what it looks like in colour...if you're thinking Spanish dancer, then i'm thinking red and black...(don't know why!)

7/10

Nice, but I really would have loved a closer zoom on the tiger's expression. The rest of the picture doesn't do much for me. 6.5/10

great pic but I am a sucker for early morning and late night landscape shots. I can picture myself on the that ridge overlooking the cloud coated valley. The mystery of it gets the nod 8/10
And mine is just capturing a moment in time after what looks to have been a tough hike he Yosemite Valley!!

6/10 not into the composition here. wish the shot was a bit wider as the boy is touching the left edge and fathers foot is touching bottom. Horizon seem a bit tilted as well? I'd be tempted to desaturate the photo, to accentuate the boredom of the kids. Otherwise love the kids expressions - priceless :D

5/10. It's a good idea, but the crop is a bit too tight for my taste, and the colors are very flat.

7/10

I like the colour, the location and the execution. The only drawback for me it the road which is leading us out of the picture, in two directions. A slightly different angle, still keeping the road, may have helped, or cutting the road entirely. simply cropping this image leaves it unbalanced, however.

I love the moment captured in the photo! The detail is also great, but the flat green background someone bothers me. I understand that with the nature of the shot, it probably could not be avoided. Other than that its awesome! 9/10 - i'm new to photography so please take the critique with a grain of salt

8/10 would love to see more vibrant colors but sure looks like a great peaceful place to have a picnic

6/10 i think the shot would have been better from the side with them side by side also maybe it is just me but the focus seems a little soft.

A decent close up of the butterfly, but you must have been struggling with the harsh light as there are so many blown areas, mainly on the flower. A little too central for me, but I understand that it's about catching these guys before they fly away!
