Hi everyone, my son came across this fellow wasp or hornet, not sure of his id but would appreciate if someone can provide the right id for it. Found it digging a hole in the ground, and could not pass the opportunity to do some macro shots since it has been awhile that I put the MP-E65 to some use, hope you like them. I have a torso shot of it in case it's needed to produce a correct id.

Hanging upside down on a twig.

Climbing on the twig.

Head shot :).
