Ben, can you share the information( thread, size, length) of the screws that you got? That looks like a great idea. Thanks!

OK, I went to McMaster-Carr's site and think I have what we need:
http://www.mcmaster.com/# (external link)

Part # Price	QTY	Desc
96741A015 $9.19 100 Metric Pan Head Phillips Machine Screw Brass, M2 Size, 8mm Length, .4mm Pitch, packs of 100
90690A030 $4.14 100 Metric Brass Hex Nut M2 Size, .4 mm Pitch, 4 mm Width, 1.6 mm Height, packs of 100

96295A104 $6.86 100 Metric Nylon Cheesehead Slotted Machine Screw Black, M2 Size, 8 mm Length, 0.4 mm Pitch, packs of 100
93369A112 $10.53 100 Metric Black Nylon 6/6 Hex Nut M2 Size, .4mm Pitch, 4mm Width, 1.2mm Height, packs of 100

first set is brass, second nylon... That's for 100 of either option, so enough to do 50 holders. The cheapest option would be the nylon screws with the brass nuts @ $10 total, but personally I'd keep them both the same. Not sure which option I like better, but I'm considering ordering the box of 100 of one then just selling (to cover my cost) the parts to anyone interested? Something like mail me an addressed envelope with $1 in it and I'll send it back with 2?

feel free to click that link then use those part #s. It'll come up. They have technical drawings that helped me figure out I wanted (I think):

Ben, thanks again for the in depth information. I was going to look and see what is available locally. If you get a bulk package and are willing to send out and get enough interest to make it work, I would be interested. I would agree with keeping them the same as well.

Anywhere know a place with CPLs in stock? I finally found a foundation in stock today, just ordered it.

I had one, and sent it back to B&H yesterday. They should be getting it back on Monday or Tuesday. Not sure how long it will take them to get it back in the system. Also as posted call 2filter, they great people to talk to.

Why'd you send it back?

because I bought the Schneider CPL at the same time. If you had both of them side by side you would pick the Schneider every time.

would you say the schneider is better quality because of the schott glass, edge seal, color saturation?

The Schneiders look lovely but not so on the wallet.

the overall look and feel of the Schneider is some much better, but does that really do anything for the the photos? I am not sure, because I will not be able to compair the Schneider and the Lee. I am sure they are very close in the "end results" that I could not pick them apart... Like I said, this is all about how it looks and fells, dare I say it is one peice of sexy glass..

Steve,

I saw the Schneider is 4mm think where as the Lee is 2mm. Is that a double wide slot I see on your holder? If so, does that make it unusable for other 2mm thick filters in that slot?

Thanks, Tom

Is there any difference with that and the Lee beside the thickness?
