Hi all, first time I tried photographing beer bottles.

I set up right next to the fridge at home. Reflections sure are annoying on glass bottles. I don't own any softboxes so I had to put up this PLM and drape some 99-cent store curtain liner over it. I had wider shots and some shots with beer poured into glasses but these were the two the client liked most.

I have to say this has to be the most awesome thread I've seen. Now I am forced to go buy a macro lens and some lights and give some of the stuff a try. Thanks a lot

Just out of curiosity, when you are done for the day when doing this type of shot, how do you get all the salt water out of the tripod components?

I'm going home to Seattle area in a few weeks and am crossing my fingers I get an opportunity to shoot something like this.

You can just dry it off right when you are done if you are that concerned. I shoot with my carbon gitzo on the beach all the time and no worries. But if you are super paranoid take some tools and take it apart right after your done.

The lens in the setup photo is standing while the lens in the result photo is laying on it's side. How can this be? I am assuming you took more than one photo and decided to show a different photo from the one in the setup photo?

Yeah I thought the setup shot was more about the concept of the setup so I posted the other shot. Here you go though...

It makes viewing a lot easier and quicker when you change your settings so there are more posts per page. On my end, this thread is 31 pages.
