Here is mine

Skywatcher ED120 Diamond Black
SkyWatcher ED80 Pro II guide with rings
NEQ6 Pro mount
QHY5 Guide CCD
EOS 350D modded imaging camera.

I see no reason for one person to have all of that, so I will email you my address and you can just send me the "Little" scope! Just kidding, but that is impressive.

LOL, how about you send me £1000 as a retainer :)

wow, quite an old thread.

Rig has changed a bit now to include a side by side ADM mounting bar and a EOS 1000D modded DSLR.

Also added on top a Sony A700 500 - 1000mm DSLR

I no longer own the 130EDT or the Tak fluorite. I do however own the following now...

Astro Physics 155 EDFS w/4 inch focuser and TCC155 reducer flattener. Also with the regular flattener and 2.7 inch focuser in case I feel like switching them out.

Takahashi FSQ106ED with all the trimmings. This includes the .73 reducer and the new 1.6x.

And JUST received early last week, the new Astro Physics 130 Gran Turismo. Only scopes within the last 6 months have a new type of broadband coating, as confirmed by the man himself. BETTER than the old coating by quite a bit. I drove over to AP and picked it up - also met the crew there. Fun stuff.

Total wait time for the scope - under 9 years.

Are we looking at your outfit or the astro gear? :)

Sorry, no offence! Nice setup.

Given the cost and weight of the heads and tripod, how would you rate the astrotrac against a conventional tracking EQ mount?

PS, if you can't get on with the lens, can I borrow it for a couple of weeks :)

Lol, this is the only image i have of my rig!! taken by my friend whos 400mm 2.8 it is!! So sorry for me being in the picture!

The mount + Heads werent cheap, but Its SO fast to set up and get imaging! I can be up and aligning the mount in under 5 mins! I have never used a conventional telescope or mount before so im not sure on the easy or time of set up, but i have held one and their not light!
The mount itself is light and when the tripod and heads + my camera and lenses are packed in a bag, the total weight isnt anything to worry about, Although i have never wandered far from my car!

I'm going to have to get to a star party where one of these is in evidence and check it out. Everyone seems to think they are brill, so I must be missing something.

Mark - is that a dew shield extending the 400L length OR is the 400L that big?

Nice to hear good things about that Astrotrac.
If you don't want go-to/etc seems perfect for widefield portable set-up's, like in backpacking to remote/dark areas.

I've sunk my $$ into gear for this year, but for future that is on my short list.
