I finally got around to working with more raw files from my last outing. How do you think these turned out and which version do you like better color or black and white.

I prefer the colour versions for both, but compositionally they don't excite me. sorry
Lighting seems an issue to with both being taken towards the middle of the day, ie harsh.
I suggest early or later in the day

cheers, Paul

Top shot (colour) I like.....colours are great . I like the 3 bands of colour across the image - blue sky/hills, green field and yellow grass. I think the yellow straw makes this shot.
The black and white lacks contrast.

I like #1 in color but earlier/later in the day would eliminate some of the gray color on the lake.
Nice location. Definitly worth a second shoot.

Thanks for the CC. That's what I'm working on now is composition. I know that I have a lot to learn. The timing could have definitely been better. I'll go again in the evening.

Thanks David but I don't agree. Especially on these shots. Just needed to get an idea on what I can improve on.

Thanks Spike. I like the different colors in that shot too. This shot was taken out by the causeway and it's not too far from where I live. So I'll try again later in the day.
I cropped out some of the yellow grass to make the photo look better.

Thanks Dino. I had to use a private road to get these shots. Thankfully nobody said anything. I wish I would have been able to get closer but there was a fence blocking me and I didn't need somebody yelling at me to get the hell out!
