Hi, would like some critiques of my photo. Just got back from a trip to Kona Hawaii, really looking to step up my game in photography. Photos shot with a canon T2i and lenses Sigma 30, Tokina 11-16

Wife shot this gorgeous boat using Sigma30

I'm liking Mr. Scruffy. Perhaps PhotoShop out the red distraction and the blown-out water reflection?

Replacing my Canon 7D, Tokina 12-24mm, Canon 17-55mm, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, and 150-500mm with a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000. I still have the 17-55 and the 30 available for sale.

The boat didn't do it for me. I could not tell what it was at first until I read your caption. Other photos are lovely.

Pineapple shot is interesting...too bad about the feet/toes that are in the frame. The last is the better of the group, and it actually looks as if some thought went into the composition. The remainder fall into the typical "vacation snapshot" category...

I also like the last one, the silhouettes work well.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I'm realizing certain shots are more interesting to me because I was there, remember the feeling/time/smell/sounds. However for others looking at the photo its much different - really just a snapshot in time taken at face value. I probably have to work on composing shots more.. most of the shots were taken on the run (but I do like a journalistic/candid photography)

I do have a bunch of landscape/sunset shots that people here generally tend to like. But most of them have blown out skies (need a ND filter bad). I do like landscape shots, but without any knowledge on how to photoshop, I don't see how any of my shots will stack up to pro-photogs or be any better.

*edit - Regarding last photo, would like to play with it once I learn photoshop. Add more contrast, make the sun pop a bit more, and draw out the shadows in the sand. Sunset shots are hard - darn sun & clouds keep moving heh.

Beautiful color in your images. The T2i is pretty amazing!
