:(

The Macro DSLR Speed Challenge almost made its 3 year anniversary...

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any macro photographers interested any longer..

I enjoy this challenge area. Sometimes I don't have (take?) time OR simply don't have any ideas on what to do. As a newbie, I appreciate getting ideas from the various contests/challenges.

I'm still very interested. Was on the road all week without my camera

I hope we don't let this die - let's give it one more try.

All I want is just a little more than I'll ever have.

I think that sometimes the topics are either to in depth or way to vague. When that happens it makes it hard to submit photos. I know that I don't have a lot of macro photos yet so I have to try to shoot them for each contest. Don't let one week with no participation end a fun thing.... Just my two cents

A few ideas that come to the top of my head... don't know if these have been done or not

Light = natural or flash - one challenge on each

Seasons = spring, summer, fall, and winter - something that makes you thing of each season

Something from the kitchen

kids toys

automotive or car related or motocycle

Well I for one would hate to see the challenge end.

I have had close to zero time to take photos for quite some time... I've made a few attempts here just to add a post and try to keep it going as I love this thread.

"Natural" is an easy and very open subject and if we can't get posts for that then what does that say ?? Maybe it's just summer(for us northerners)/vacations/work.

Me, I've no macro capability and my macro archives are pretty thin.

Don't let it end, John!

it also is possible that like me, I know I was working on a project for the macro called time when it got changed to farm animals or something. then took a while to find the correct post the next time and that one was organic, which means growing and got a lot of dead bugs. Interesting to be sure but not organic in any dictionary I found. Anyway, I try and get into a few of these but lately like everyone else, just haven't had the time to do it.

Jason, really cheap macro tubes for most dsl cameras are around 10 bucks, my kenko tubes were many times more than that and they work great, auto focus etc, that is the main difference, the ten dollar ones don't have built in electronics.

John,, I for one appreciate your efforts and I will try to make sure to enter more of these as I learn how to operate my camera better.

Rod thanks :)
Luckily the challenge accepts macro photos taken at any time (not just during the challenge).
Looking forward to see you in the next challenge which gives more time :)
