Yep! That's my boy.

You've got an unfair advantage for finding me, as does anyone else who's added me on Google+. :)

We can let everyone else guess and see how close they are.

Back row, left end.

OK fine your family is sponsored by blue haha. The twins in the front are the only ones not wearing blue.

Oh my... the discussion about what to wear was horrible. I got emails from my in-laws for an entire month before the photo trying to come up with a plan. I told them I didn't care, but they wouldn't listen to me.

I got back at the one person who was the biggest instigator of the whole debacle. I photoshopped her shirt to be purple with green polka dots, and I just sent the email out to the family asking why we didn't color coordinate.

Bwahahahahah! :)

I'm still trying to figure out how to work these new-fangled computer things! Back in my day, we didn't have to worry about using a mouse. The barn cats took care of them!

Good post work!

Helps when you nail out of the camera and have a great MUA.

Very little was actually done to the photo minus curves, contrast, wb and bringing the eyes out a bit.

Dennis and I don't need no stinkin' Para! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Dave F.

Absolutely! I'd still buy one of your soon to be commercially available adapters, Dave. Wink wink.

sigma pi wrote in post #12933462 (external link)
Yes totally ghetto with the profoto on it.

Leo wouldn't go near it with a ten foot pole. It's almost all second hand.

Hey guys,

here's my (not quite done) ghetto version of Dave's awesome adapter:

Obviously, there's no hole for the cable yet, and the minimum distance is too much, but I'll probably get those fixed on Tuesday.
It's not pretty and really just made up of scrap our mechanic had lying around (except for the Eli insert), but should work either way.
Will do some testing with the regular DO when it's done :)

Is the mount part of that rig made of some kind of plastic? It does look pretty solid, though, even though it's not metal like Dave's. Was it molded or carved out from a solid piece?

Sheldon N wrote in post #12933728 (external link)
Yep! Super easy drilling job, and did a quick test shoot. Looks nice! I'll need to do a more serious comparison against the standard deflectors sometime.

Oh man, now you're just going to make Leo jealous. :)

Looks great!

Yeah, you should see my face. It's green, like this....

It's actually a sample piece of Teflon that was cut and carved to fit the speedring. Very solid :)

Sent angry email to B&H yesterday...

Why is my Baby Deep Octa still not shipped out?! I ordered it in June and you guys have it in stock. Yes, the Maxilite is still backordered but there's no reason you can't ship the DO to me, especially since I paid for it in June!

Got a tracking number today. :)

You know you'd have gotten the tracking number just as quickly with a non-angry email. :-) Nevertheless we regret having irked you.
