Need advise, my 1Ds has been acting funny of late and I fear it's more than a battery issue. I put a fully charged battery into the camera the other day and at first it read fully charged and then bam....nothing, battery read empty, so I went to B&H and got a third party battery for my 1Ds and charged it fully first and got the same exact response, so before I return it to KEH for repair is there anything I can or should do to try and fix the problem??:(

Got similar problem with my 1Dmk2. It eats the batteries even when turned off. I have to check it, but have not enough time (I allways charge batteries before shoot, so it doesn't matter that much to me). Hope that it is not some problem with 1Dmk2 processor taking wrong battery power assumptions.

The 1Ds is gone, but the archives remain. George said post-up, so here goes. However, not much of anything of interest from the archives.

I belive all were shot with the 50/1.4

A couple from a recent holiday. However, you only see the full beauty of this camera when you print - discuss!

Here is 2 more, but these are straight out of the camera just resized in photoshop then resharpened...........why do images go soft after you resize them? Both where at iso 100 using a nifty fifty:D

Can anyone tell me where to buy a good battery for it in the UK as the cheapy one i got from ebay last year has crapped out on me:cry: and now i'm only getting around 130 images from a full charge:cry:

Try 7Day Shop, I find these to be better than the Canon ones for holding a charge and for the price you cant go wrong:

The following picture is inspired by the old black-and-white Finnish movies from the early 1900's.

Try this, I think it is the same exact product. I have one, works great (after like 20 charges)

The 1Ds is the best film-like digital ever produced! No editing software filters needed here, the 1Ds sensor does it all. Set the iso to 400 and let the magic begin.

I hate how nice the 1Ds looks ;)
