I just rented her a board and she started figuring it out on her own. Maybe I should have started her earlier than 9.

She's a natural! Great shots! As the posters above me stated, the third one is awesome! I also really like how she's leaning into the rail in the first shot. Looks like she's been surfing since she was 6!

Get her a shortie wet suit, however, those first shots were too close to being ads for Coppertone suntan lotion.

It was literally 103F that day and the water temp was right at 85F. I didn't even see anyone wearing those spandex long sleeve tops used to keep the sun off. I don't know if there is such a thing as "too hot to go to the beach", but it was pretty close.

That's bad. The water's been too hot here. A teenage girl died from exposure to bacteria after swimming in a tributary of the St John river. My granddaughter wears those shirts, so I know what you mean.
