Hi,

I'm looking for a circular polarizer filter for a 82mm UWA lens, so the filter must be slim and it would be great if he had also a front thread for for attaching the lens cap or the dedicated hood.
B+W Kaesemann MRC CPL have great reputation but it seems that they don't have a front thread! Are there are other options/brands for circular polarizers for this thread size filter with thread on front ?

What are in your experience the advantages and drawbacks of using a filter regular and slim, with and without front threads?

Thanks for help!

I don't think I've seen a 'slim' filter that was anything other than a normal filter without the front threads.

You can get the slim with front threads and not have to worry about it. (link (external link)) All of B+W's XS-Pro models are slim profile yet retain some front threads.

I've got the B+W Kass MCR slim without threads. The push on lens cap it comes with works fine.

Here is another choice and slightly cheaper but maybe a little harder to clean than the B + W.
