You know this do you?.....odd that we seem to have a very active sub-forum here at "photography-on-the-net" .
Nice shot and process. For your question, I prefer the B&W....dramatic sky fits well. There is not that much colour going on anyway in the other.
Sorry, let me rephrase that to 'in the forums I've been to'. I didn't notice the HDR sub-forum, just the frequent anti-HDR comments/critiques (I'm still new to the process).

I like the B&W version.
IMO, the image would be improved is there was more tone separation/contrast between the old building and the foreground... everything seems to blend in.
Also, I am not a big fan of the "new" building to the right of your subject. It takes away from the mood I believe was intended.
BTW, I like the BBQ on the right side... wish it was more in frame!
I was thinking of toning down / darkening the foreground so that it doesn't compete with the shed as much in the b&w version. Also, you're right, I should have taken the shot a few feet to the right and placed the sun behind the shed... Next time there are cool clouds I'm gonna have to go back!
So its 5:1 for the B&W version so far. Thanks for the feedback!
