Before buying 24-70, my walkaround lens was 12-24. Now I will use either depending on where I am.

24-105L. Even on a crop, it's definitely wide enough for me.

I live in the middle of no where so I do not "walk around" but I do "drive around" and my 7D/Sigma 50-500 OS are with me always. I did just buy a few months back a 60D and ef-s 15-85 that I hope to use for a "walk around" lens if I get a chance to do some traveling this Winter.
