Does MeadowBrook (U.S. Cellular Concert Pavilion) check bags? Like purse size bags?

Going to the Lady Antebellum concert on Sunday September 4th (center stage, 3rd row!!) and hoping to bring my grip-less 5D with 50mm f/1.8 lens. They list "no photography allowed" on the website, but curious if they check bags...

Should I chance it? What's the worst that can happen?

the stage collapses, and you take no photos, as your camera was confiscated?

Pretty much every concert venue will check you for cameras, and throw you out if caught shooting the show.

Thanks guys! Camera stays home!

Tickets were a steal, but still pricey.

At Paradise Rock Club I've emailed the band to get permission, then emailed the box office to get permission, and then gotten to the door to be searched and told "no cameras!" It's funny when it's one of those bands that *loves* when the audience takes photos and live recordings (that's hard to do without getting cozy with the front of house staff...).

You need to be on the guest list with a photo-pass

I've just stopped taking my camera to events I've bought tickets to. I used to do merchandise for the same band (Carbon Leaf) when they were in Boston at the Paradise Rock Club and I'd bring a camera and no one gave me any crap, but I did have a fancy "All-Access Pass" then...handy...

^ absolutely. you don't want to be stuck behind a camera, then worry not to have it damaged or stolen by anyone else.

Where was all the lightning? I was hoping for some epic shots tonight but instead all I got was this lousy wet t shirt.

All the nasty weather was out in metro west.
Hopkinton was a light show then the boomers came through and it got quiet.

It was just as easy as it has always been for the past 3 years haha. Probably easier because no one pays attention when the weather is bad.
