And I still have my NEX 5 whilst the very overrated 7D has been sold on (for a 1Ds3). Not sure why it should be a surprise that a smaller, newer, lower pixel density APS-C sensor should perform better than the one in the 7D. Put decent glass on the NEX and it's capable of stunning results.

Doesnt shock me ;)

Though I do love my 7D's IQ

The best thing about the NEX-7 is the combination of outstanding EVF with focus peaking. Focus peaking means never having to focus recompose again. I can now focus my MF lenses at any portion of the screen as fast as using a RF patch. Personally, I will use this a lot with my CV 21 f4 and Leica 35 f/2 both make for an incredible combination.
Also, am purchasing the zeiss 24 2.8, will be my go to lens, like my 35 Summicron on the film leica

Was just having a look at my options the other day. Was sure to get the S95, but the prospect of adding lenses makes things a bit more interesting. I wouldn't consider this an SLR replacement, but great as a travel alternative. I like how they've fit the APS-C in there and might get the NEX-5.

Actually yes, i saw one or two people who have created an EOS to NEX adapter, the only issue is there no aperture control, you have to do the stop down and dismount trick to set aperture

There is a new NEX-EOS adapter with additional aperture control.

Ok to MF wide open and then meter with smaller aperture opening.

That was the way i was thinknig such an adapter would work

Wonder what it would do to the bokeh of the lens though!

\The FD lens attached to adapters you can use any aperture as you can set it yourself on the lens...

Newer Eos lenses can only be used wide open.

Following Sonys lack of fast pancake announcements (maybe its not possible with such a large sensor?!) I've just ordered a Lumix GF3 + 20mm f/1.7, can't wait

I'd rather the 25mm f/1.4, I know its a hair bigger, but the IQ is really just something to behold, it has that Summilux bokeh...Thats probubly why I'd get it, the GF3 + Summilux would be an excellent smaller and wider supplement to my 7D and Sigmalux

The 20mm f/1.7 is great though ;)

This is a supplement to my 40D so its all about price and size! I've no plans to buy any other lenses (except maybe cheap Manual Focus lenses) so 20mm is about right for me!

p.s. 26 mm vs 75 mm, thats a big hair ;)
