Not sure why it should be a surprise that a smaller, newer, lower pixel density APS-C sensor should perform better than the one in the 7D. Put decent glass on the NEX and it's capable of stunning results. Doesnt shock me Gear, New and Old! RAW Club Member

Focus peaking means never having to focus recompose again. I can now focus my MF lenses at any portion of the screen as fast as using a RF patch. Personally, I will use this a lot with my CV 21 f4 and Leica 35 f/2 both make for an incredible combination. 5D, Rebel G, Leica M8, Bessa r2a, 28-135 IS, 50 f/1.4, 70-300 DO IS, 11-16 f/2.8, 50 f/2-m, 21-f/4-m, 35 f/2 ASPH 430 EX flickr

Was sure to get the S95, but the prospect of adding lenses makes things a bit more interesting. I wouldn't consider this an SLR replacement, but great as a travel alternative. I like how they've fit the APS-C in there and might get the NEX-5. Terence

Actually yes, i saw one or two people who have created an EOS to NEX adapter, the only issue is there no aperture control, you have to do the stop down and dismount trick to set aperture Gear, New and Old!
