Don't worry, if the plates don't fit tight just put a little tape on it, it'll snug it up nicely.

Swallow the cost (or save up more) and go all Really Right Stuff. You can get a lot the stuff used for a bit less on eBay if you watch it for a bit. You will be glad you did.
