5/10 - Would've preferred a smaller DOF to bring attention to B&G, also no definition between G's suit and pastor's robe. Too much busy "stuff" in the background on the left side of the photo and the fake vignette does nothing for it either.

Please give critique with ratings! Especially when rating in the bottom 2/3's of the scale... A rating of 6/10 means nothing if you don't tell why it was rated that way.

There was just a bulldog above me and the wedding pic was rated when I posted this!

My photo is on previous page...something weird is going on here. I had the rebar trees. I gave the bulldog 8/10. Whatever!

@ the floral looking photo above 6/10. I'm guessing I'm looking at somthing like rusted metal beneath, but can't quite tell. So guessing about what I'm looking at account for part of that. Twice as big an image could make a big diffence on that one. Like the background the way you have it better than had it been Bokeh in this case. If their lawn was a better green it would help. The pale green doesn't do the flowers justice. (BTW - that may be a Staffordshire Terrier)

Pretty sure this is my first post of this Crocosmia in this thread.

8.5/10 very nice subject, light and composition. only thing i would change is to clone the green leaf on the right.

7/10. I like the lighting. It would be nice if the other eye is not covered by her hair.

7/10 I like the leading lines, but feel it could use star-burst effect on the light source

The clarity and colours are gorgeous! Not sure about the framing.

interesting color in the background. And she is wearing interesting shoes. Not really a street photographer so don't know what else is good or bad about it. But seems pretty good to me.

here is some that i took the other night light painting

7/10 Looks cool... but the WB seems a bit off in places... Also, I would've preferred a little more light at the top of the building on the left side of the frame to give some definition between the top of the building and the darkness of the sky/trees.

I'm not huge on, nor technically adept at kids portraiture, so take it with some salt or C2H5OH....
The focus is appropriate, which is good (doesn't seem like a soft focus kind of pose), but the eyes are a little deer in headlights and the pose seems a bit awkward. More technically, the messiness of the hair is distracting to me, and I think some fill on the neck and lower part of the face would help reduce the contrast range as it looks like the forehead highlights might be a bit blown out.

@ the B&W above ... how about 7/10. If the person way down yonder were a lot closer, or someone was leaning in the doorway, probably an 8/10. The photo is really nice and crisp, and it looks like as good an angle as you could have picked for that spot.

Will be adding several photos like this below. Curious to hear what others may have done different. Since only one can critique, spread the suggestions thick. The plants are cool, but not sure what else to do in this location. Edge of a redwood grove.

6/10, but I think there's some easy improvement.
[more] Fill lighting might help, but I doubt that's an option at that location.... the black of the skirt is lost in the other darkness.
Have the model practice some posing in a mirror. The foot point can be good, but it needs to be finessed a bit more. I think more contrapposto will also help. Facial expression taste varies depending on the audience, but some practice here can help too. If the teeth aren't bad, opening up the mouth is usually good, usually to smile. Emulating photos/paintings you like is a good place to start.
The wardrobe may be what bothers me the most; it's totally incongruent with the setting. Fewer clothes (ditch the sandals first) or less synthetic clothing. It doesn't have to be suggestive, just not so jarring (or emphasize the juxtaposition, but that's a different shoot that what I think you're after).
That's my opinion anyway.
