I only had my 5D2 a few days and this was my first studio venture. The young girl is a friends 8yr old daughter and it was one of the first shots.
I know there's stray hairs and cracked lips, but mum and dad love it!
I'm hooked on the 5D2 and the 70-200mm f2.8 L IS

You did this in the studio! I like this shot alot. She is a very pretty little girl as well.

Very cool, I have to be honest with you, I am stealing this idea! ;-)a

I live in Florida so little chance to get cold snowy shots- but I could get a 'cold' vibe in my studio and then composite some background in. Never really thought to even try that.

Kind of off topic but when do you guys take images from LR3 and use PS because LR3 couldn't do what you wanted? I'm just starting to dive into PS but it seems I'm pleased with my images from LR3; however, feel I'm cheating myself because they could be "better", and at this point, dont know in what way, using PS...if that makes any sense.

i find LR2 does pretty much everything for me. i use Photoshop for any cloning [as i just find it easier/quicker] & to resize/letterbox a copy for web use.

Thanks. No filter was used, I took two exposures and blended them (layer mask) to get a proper exposure from the sky and foreground. However, a filter would have def. helped.

Today, I went out with a buddy of mine today to go unwind and do some outdoor portraiture. This gave me a good excuse to test out my Genesis 200, we starting taking pictures of each other and when I got to this picture...

My light fell, umbrella broke, almost cried, but I fixed my umbrella and kept moving on.

Then we saw some guys praticing their hill jumps so we asked if we can take pictures of them, which they agreed to. My buddy got some amazing shots...

My friend is usually hiding somewhere in the 7D section. First time doing a location shot, so much fun, except for my strobe dropping twice haha.
