So, a good friend of mine wants to get the 24-105L but he's also wanting to get the 24-70L and can't make up his mind... anyone in South Jersey willing to let him try it out? Nothing extreme... just to compare up close.

Noone? Is this possibly the wrong section of the forum for this post?

I think everyone in South Jersey has left. For the hurricane, anyway. Last one out turn off the lights. Seriously though, while there seem to be some POTN members in South Jersey, a small number perhaps, I think the chance of finding someone with those two exact lenses is slim. (I'm here, but don't have anything that $$$ in my kit.) Maybe he could rent and try?

Figured that much, I used to own the 24-105 and wasn't that impressed so I got rid of it to buy other things. The hurricane wasn't that bad for me... lost power for a few hours and I guess the city is completely flooded but i'm safe thankfully!

I'm just outside the mandatory evacuation zone in Atlantic County (OK, technically just inside, but don't tell anyone) and nothing much happened. I took a short camera walk around this morning. A few trees down - that was it. Later, when there is less chance of getting caught in heavy rain, I'll go further and I'm sure there is some flooding - but those areas flood after a heavy drizzle too.
