Compressed air is horrible - time for a real clean!

Being in a hurry to some place, I've often forgotten to move photos to the PC before going. It's great practice really, coming to a beautiful place with only space for 10 photos to take, makes you work your photographic senses. Batteries with only 5-10% of power left have sadly been common too. And before I had the 550D, with the S5IS takings snaps here and there without a memory card inside wasn't too uncommon either.

Luckily the incidents have gotten fewer :)

Ive done this too, people are gonna get after you for bringing back a dead thread, but, it is a good thread, so it should be alright.

I noticed the last post was about 1 year old, but I felt it was too good to die away. I do hope the others will forgive me, hehe. ;)

No, you just get this month's Dr Frankenstein award for raising the dead.;)

Format a card that I havn't pulled the footage from yet... I was doing video work here so card swapping was very common, and I have an external drive that acts as a dump drive. It can recover deleted pictures... But not .mov files...

Never again!

Not under stress so much but... as you can see from my avatar I am one of the 'older generation'. I learned my photography on film cameras so after owning several digital cameras and then the Canon 400D I realised I could change my ISO settings with the touch of a button
