Anna's shoot was in the bottom of a canyon in the Idaho desert. You have to hike in early in the AM before the snakes come out

A lot more shots at her gallery here: http://aoboudoirboise.smugmug.com …HqqWrx#1450864833_69nxpsG (external link)

I like the first one best. The second one seems to have a blue tint.

IMHO, that looks like a fantastic place to shoot portraits, but your model's expression in most of these shots (including those on your site) make them look like she doesn't want to be there.

Canon 7D, 5D, 35L, 50 f/1.4, 85 f/1.8, 135L, 200L, 10-22, 17-55, 70-300, 100-400L, 500D, 580EX(2).
Sigma 150 macro, 1.4X, 2X, Quantaray 2X, Kenko closeup tubes, Yongnuo YN685(3), Yongnuo YN-622C-TX. Lots of studio stuff.

Thanks for the comment.
Yes I added a tint to quite a few of the shots in the gallery.
It is a models job to look like she doesn't want to be there :).

Definitely like the first one the best as she has some expression. Would be nice if she smiled some. 2nd and 5th ones look just a little too bright. Rest are spot on.

Thanks, appreciate everyone's comments.
This is the South Fork of the Boise River canyon outside of Boise.

Thanks everyone.
Lots of rattlesnakes in this area, they love that black lava rock...not a fan of snakes. They are not active until it gets hot.
It was probably 50 down in that pocket early in the morning and with the breeze and mist generated by the waterfall it was quite cool....by 1 it would have been 100 on the upper flats and spreading down into the canyon where the waterfall is.

Nice photos, though a couple of exposure issues. Photo 2 is overall over exposed, noted by her skin looking too bright almost glowing. And I would crop the sky and very over exposed water at the top out, and it will enrich the appearance of the entire image.

Thanks Happy,
2 and 5 have bright skin on purpose. 2 also has a blue tint which adds to the effect with the bright skin.

If you have a minute to check out the gallery you will see a lot of variation.

I have looked at changing out the the top but decided to leave it to show the full length of the falls.
Your critique of that point is very valid. I have a crop version I don't like as well. I have toyed with the idea of pasting something into the blown area and fixing the water but am just to busy to mess with it right now.

Excellent series. I like the first shot the best. I'd like the 2nd shot more if it didn't have the blue tint but I love the shot otherwise.
