T2i4me it would have been nice if the guy or the car wasn't behind them. You walk the streets of SF and you see a lot of homeless and it is quite sad. My confidence is building and once I get the primes I want I hope to take some better shots of more homeless and strangers, both candid and portrait. These were all taken with the 18-55 IS kit lens. As for PP I honestly don't remember, I would have to look back at LR3. I just kind of play around with the RAW image and envision what style I want. No presets used. I've used them in the past, but it was more of a learning tool. I use the adjustment brush quite often too and the GND with landscapes and certain situations...Still so much to learn and I really need to get my monitor calibrated.

Killer - Yeah it probably would. I don't do much B&W, but I may start soon especially since I love street photography. I have Nik's Silver EFX pro or whatever it's called and the entire Nik tools, but I never use them :p

I got a noob question, how do I post my pictures from Flickr like everyone else is doing? :o

Any tips for shooting flying birds with the nifty 250? I have some hawks flying around the house but have to crop considerably to get a decent photo. I know move closer but they won't come closer when I call them.
Plus they seem to be always in a shadow the way the sun hits them from above. I guess side light in the morning or dusk would be the best.

Here's a few from the Nascar race @ Bristol, Took about 500 shots and only a few were worth even processing but still not that great. All shot with my cheap 75-300mm, after this I really cant wait to get a 70-200L...

Awesome shots man! I'm actually from Bristol, hate I didn't have my camera handy for the race!

GREAT PICS EVERYONE...

RAMJAM welcome those first photos are greats IMO, They are really sharp and clean. Did you use the kitlens?

Thanks, I really appreciate that! and yes it's just the kit lens. I really like those shots from Portland.
