Nice try Killer with the in-flight. I know we will see super ones soon. The others are just great.

One thing about extension tubes (I use them sometimes) is that focusing becomes pretty difficult and even the slightest movement (self or wind) will pull away the focus. I havent yet but next time with tubes will be on a tripod and remote shutter, possibly flash as well.

Thanks for the encouragement killerclown, The fact that I borrowed the lens I am afraid I would drop it so now I am looking for a cheap used either 60 or 100mm and also I bought this fotodiox brand for a merely 15.00 bucks I would try to attached that to the lens and I guest I would need a macro ring flash and even with non canon brand still kind of expensive but I would save up for all of these. But for now I will enjoy staring at you macro pics I love looking at the details, they are amazing. Thanks for sharing.

This is dead right bobobird. Exactly what I experienced when I tried my friend's macro lens.

I have three flickr accounts, and I can definitely say there is something weird going on over there. In one account, if I upload pictures, they become really flat, low contrast, and weak in color, but if I upload the same pic to another account (my "pro" account that I paid for) it looks about like it does in photoshop. I put either this photo up or one from the same set about 8 months ago, and it looked pretty poor. I thought it was resizing that killed the color. Here in my "pro" account, though, it looks quite nice.

WOW! I have a Pro account as well and I'm glad after seeing the difference between these two. I guess it's not surprising that those that pay get better benefits but I don't remember the account feature comparisons saying anything about the uploaded picture quality.

Maybe it's because of the different sizes flickr offers? try the "original" size - this may look better than the other ones...

My account doesn't offer original. It's just the basic account and it only offers Square, Thumbnail, Small, Medium & Large.

Wow. Thanks for your comments guys, I KNEW I wasn't imagining it!

Your scenario seems much worse than mine. Mine is just a slight softening whereas yours is totally different!
I really don't know what to do about this because there are people who want so see the photos I just took on holiday but I don't want to show them crap versions of my shots.
Is there a different web site that doesn't change image quality...?
