Wow Michael, I like this one! Bummer about the power lines though. Any thought to cloning them out? If not, well the wee bit of power pole on the left is a bugger that needs, umm, cropping. ;) But, it's a super shot; the Zeiss rendering of the pavers (in the sunlight) and the shadow of the gate is terrific!

She was just standing there, poking at some food, and I asked if she minded...what drew me was the utter redness of her dress....and the Zeiss just nailed it.

Forget the food! Did you get her number? ;)

Did you ask her, "Do you mind if I ZEISS you?"

Great colors!

Thank you for your kind words, David. I think those are brilliant suggestion. I tend not to alter the scene and just leave any imperfection and flaw as is. I do feel what you say though. This temple compound is right in the middle of a suburb with apartment complex surrounding. The other frontal shot of the temple has apartment building showing on the side too.

Appreciate you helping me out with thoughtful and constructive suggestion. Let's exchange more ideas if you don't mind.

I completely understand your reticence to remove something that's actually there, which is why I didn't really intend the cloning so much as a suggestion, but was interested in learning your thought process regarding things like that. It's such a nice photo as it is.

I used a 14L once (the original version) it was neat how wide you can get but I wonder how often I would really go that wide. Though I'm sure if I had one I'd find reasons to use it! Lol.
