Sorry, I missed this! Pretty much wandering around downtown will bring you across various nightlife venues, you just need to be creative with your photography! And yeah, it's different from Corvallis -- the nightlife is something to reckon with:)!

I always thought Corvallis nightlife was just drunk college kids wandering around town?

I think he was referring to Portland nightlife. Your view on Corvallis is 100% spot on, and it sucks lol

Well heck, if it's images we're posting... :D

First, I'll add my Punch Bowls shot from earlier this year, piggy-backing off Dustin's pictures:

And then, what is more Seattle-like than a WSDOT ferry and that huge mountain?

Nice shots getting posted! Remember to stick them on our map!

And, I don't know if any of you guys checked that Panoramio site that I posted about a while back -- it gives you a cool "path" to Google Earth!

And, P-Land area folks, there will be one of those "Occupy" demonstrations in P-Land I believe on Thursday, although I haven't checked out any details. I may show up for some "PJ" work!

I have school until 3:00 Thursday. The organizers of Occupy Portland still haven't acquired the permits or contacted the Portland Police Department, so I'm not sure what will go "down" once the demonstration starts...

Well, I heard today that they have been in touch with the police, but are still working out what their "strategy" will be.

My daughter posted the link to this article from today discussing things:

As much as I support the first amendment of our constitution, they will have to give a permit if they're going to march in the streets. (They WILL march in the streets). And then police will try to clear them OUT of the streets, violence starts.

You can't have 10,000+ people gather and not have violence. It's not possible.

Well, that is of course what's been happening -- not so much violence/rioting, but plenty of arrests. Approaching it as a photographer, I'd want a decent focal length lens so I could get "close" shots without being "in the action"!
