Gitzo GT-1541T leg diameter .....

hi there ,
can any one tell me the leg diameters of the Gitzo GT-1541T and or Gitzo GT1542T tripods ?
max / min ?

Top section measures 7/8 inch and the bottom section measures 7/16 inch (about the diameter of a AA Battery)

Since the French would never use English, I’m sorry impearl :D, im guessing that’s
7/8 is 22 mm and 7/16 is 11mm ;).

Whatever they are, they're pencil thin and that was one of the reasons I got the Feisol 3441T. I needed a taller tripod, but also found that the leg diameter was beefy at no expense of weight. The 3441S is the standard height and even lighter.

cheers tv looked at the , FEISOL Traveler Tripod CT-3441T , its a little long for me folded with a head on , just to long to fit in side a day pack. cheers
asked for the measurements so i could comare apple with apple .

Look at the 3441S which is shorter but also shorter when collapsed. Problem is that if you're 6' or taller, it doesn't extend very far and you have to raise the center column. Kind of creates a monopod on a tripod.
