i have my eye on the rokinon 8mm copy.

i was looking at the 14mm 2.8 but it doesnt seem like it would be very wide on my crop. so i am totally sold and the 8mm fisheye for this price i bet this lens is a blast to use.

totally post more pics to revive this thread

I like my Rokinon fisheye. It can capture some pretty unique shots, and is quite good for landscapes/sunsets.

This is one of my favorite shots of my beer-haunt:

im going to order this lens later in the week after i get one more shoot that will put me at $300.

i decided to get this over trying to build a beginner light setup since i dont do much make much money doing portraits and headshots :( one day later when i have money ill buy an 85 1.8 but i think ill hold off on the lights and stick with natural light portraits when i do them.

excited about this lens though :D

other than lack of AF which totally isnt needed at this short of focal length this lens works like any normal lens right? and to be more specific when using this lens will my camera meter like normal? i dont know how camera metering works if it requires certain lenses or not.

Your camera will meter like usual, and you can use the lens in either Tv or M.
